Mediated Settlement Conference [MSC]
Three hour MSC: £645.00 + VAT per party [additional hours if requested by the parties £85.00 + VAT per party] Three party case £495.00 + VAT per party - up to 4 hours. [additional hours if requested by the parties £65.00 + VAT per party] Four party case £495.00 + VAT per party - up to 5 hours. [additional hours if requested by the parties £55.00 + VAT per party]

Impartiality: “How many referrals do you get from …….”
A not uncommon question. The words may differ but the underlying question is the same i.e. Impartiality, Independence, Allegiance.
The first thing to remember is that unlike an Arbitrator or a Judge, the mediator has NO power to make judgements, rulings or give advice. This protects your role as professional adviser and ensures you and your client have total control over any decisions that you may make. Secondly, whilst in the early days of my practice referrals came primarily from defendants, about 50% now come from satisfied claimants’ solicitors who have been involved in previous mediations with me. Thirdly, as a full time professional mediator, my integrity and mediation expertise are the only qualities I have to offer. As 100% of my work comes from the legal profession, I cannot afford to be anything other than impartial and unbiased. |
